Delicious tacos and tortas - 4 options for tacos and I strongly recommend the Mayan Relleno Negro (turkey slow cooked with recado negro - burnt chilies; a slice of hard boiled egg) and cochinita (slow roasted pork) a house made bottle of Jamaica. Gets busy during lunch with locals and folks getting takeout.

While walking around we found this gem. We wanted lunch but they were serving breakfast ..... we wanted tacos and they were serving tacos for breakfast lol so win win super dope

I tried out this restaurant while exploring the city. There was a steady stream of local customers and delivery riders while I was there. Apparently this place has earned a great reputation. I would recommend checking it out if you are out and about exploring the city. It's about a ten minute walk from the shoreline shops. You'll see the prices on the menu. A sandwich and taco will set you back 72 MXN which is less than 4 USD. The photos include a carne asada torta and cochinita taco. Cochinita Pibil, is a traditional dish from the Yucatán Peninsula, including Cozumel, Mexico. It's a slow-roasted pork dish where the meat is marinated in a unique sauce before cooking.

My go-to spot in the mornings when staying around the corner at Amigos Hostel. Very good yucateca style food and the tortas are delicious. Very fast service. Cochinita on Sundays is really good. Cheap and great breakfast! Only complaint is I wish they had coffee.
